What is Missionary Respite?
With Missionary Respite, we are delighted to offer our facility for up to a week, at no charge, to current missionaries on furlough or those returning from the field.
Mission Training International is excited to welcome you to our beautiful property located in the Front Range of the Rockies. This facility is a gift from God that we are honored to share with you. We are aware of the hardships that serving abroad can bring, especially as cross-cultural workers return to their passport country. Our hope and prayer is that this time would be one of restoration and connection with the Lord.

If a program or event is taking place during your stay, you are welcome to join us for any meals being served free of charge. Please let us know in advance which meals you plan to attend so we can prepare accordingly. If no program is scheduled, meals will not be provided and you will need to plan your own food.

While we do not have a full kitchenette, we do offer access to a shared pantry, refrigerator, freezer, and microwave where you can store your food and beverages. We simply ask that you clean out anything you brought before you leave.

Respite housing is offered in our main buildings as rooms become available. Each room has a hotel-style setup with a private bathroom and all linens. Depending on availability, your family may or may not be in adjoining rooms. If rooms are not connected, we will let you know ahead of time.

Yes, those areas are available for you to use. If a program is in session during your stay, please stay off the playground until 4:30 pm each day.

Yes. We have two minivans available for local use in the Monument and Palmer Lake areas. They can get you to Walmart, local restaurants, and other nearby spots. Since these vehicles are shared by everyone in the building, we ask that you use them considerately and keep trips brief when possible.

We are located in Palmer Lake, Colorado, which offers beautiful hiking trails and outdoor activities. Colorado Springs is just a 20-minute drive away and has plenty to explore as well.
More About Your Stay:
Our facility has hotel-like rooms each with a private bath. The lower level has a game room, washers and dryers, and a microwave and fridge for your use. All linens and towels are provided. Walking, hiking, and biking trails surround the property and there is also a playground. The city of Colorado Springs is a short drive and Denver is a little over an hour away. Both cities are good options for flights and rental cars. Room reservations are available throughout the year depending on availability. Please reach out to us with any questions you have. Guests outside of your immediate family are welcome during the day. Please contact us ahead of time if they will be joining for a meal, so that we can prepare the right amount of food.

Yes, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building.

Bring any personal items you will need during your stay, including food if no program is happening, comfortable clothing, and anything for recreation and rest. All rooms will have fresh linens, towels, and soap. Please bring any other toiletries that you need.

You are welcome to check in at any time. If you arrive outside of business hours (8:00 AM–4:30 PM), we will leave your check-in information at the reception desk. Check-out from your room is at 9:00 AM on your final day, though you are welcome to remain in the building afterward.
